A selection of the handmade gifts on sale at our exhibition
We had a very good day on Saturday 11th November and raised £1690 for TEENAGE CANCER TRUST south west region, helping young local cancer patients. For more information about the charity, follow the link www.teenagecancertrust.org
We exhibited over 40 quilts and visitors to the event were able to learn about the art of quilt making, enjoy a slice of homemade cake and buy hand made Christmas gifts and decorations. The final total amount of money raised for the charity (including money raised from the quilt we auctioned) was £2,105. We would like to thank all the people who kindly attended our exhibition and hope that they enjoyed it.
In addition we would like to thank all the people who helped us to stage this exhibition:
The Thursday Girls – for kindly lending us photographic stands and other equipment
Blagdon Painting group – for generously allowing us the use of their stands
RJDraper & co Ltd – For kindly lending us lots of boxes as props
An army of Husbands, Sons and even Grandsons who turned up the night before to put up stands and make props and returned afterwards to help take them down.
Marcia’s husband, Mike, who helped out most of the day.
Suzanne’s husband, Robert – for transporting stands and props.
